The history of Grenson started under the leadership of William Green, who acquired his expertise thanks to his mother with whom he worked in the creation of boots for men. From just an ‘assistant’ to the manager of a shoe manufacturing company, William Green earned his reputation over the years with quality shoes under the name of ‘William Green & Son’… which was shortened to Grenson at the end of the 19th century. Genuine family history, Grenson was run by the sons, grandsons then the great grand-sons of William Green before being sold in the 80s, and since 2010 belonging to Tim Little.
